– 5 tablespoons of water kefir grains
– 7 cups fresh of coconut water
– 1 Ceylon cinnamon stick
First place a 1/2 gallon in a jar then add the water kefir grains and close the jar, but leave it lose. It takes 48 hours for the fermentation process to finish, but remember don’t leave it for longer period. It is an interesting fact, in case the mixture stays for longer period of time in the jar. It is a possibility that it might explode.
Once fermented, coconut water will become cloudy and lighter in color, when the culturing process ends, the kefir grains will rise up to the top. Then, you need to remove the grains, and they can be re-used again if you immediately want to make another batch.
