According to the Chinese, putting ice cube regularly on a particular point on your neck can offer so many health benefits. It can help in rejuvenating your body, eliminating many diseases, boost your energy levels, and help you lead healthy and happier life.
So where is this point located?
It is found between the tendons on our neck. To be more precise it is at the nape where you will find a hole – the point where the neck and head come to join. In Chinese acupuncture, this point is known as the Feng Fu (refuge of wind).
How to put ice cube on this point?
Lie down on your stomach (you may also sit) and place an ice cube at the Feng Fu point (it’s a hole at the back of your head). Remain in that position for 20 minutes. You may also use a bandage or scarf to hold the ice cube in place.
Repeat this often, especially before going to sleep and when you wake up in the morning. Interestingly, you will not catch cold if you use this method.
It is going to give you a cold feeling initially, but within 30-40 seconds you’ll have a sensation of heat that forces you into action. During the initial days you’ll feel sensation of euphoria as endorphins are released into your bloodstream.
When ice cubes are regularly placed on the point, it will help in improving your sleep quality, overall vitality, and even your mood. Other health benefits include:
- Improved digestive tract functioning
- Removing headaches
- Removing joint pains
- Eliminating toothache
When ice cubes are placed on your Feng Fu point, it helps in fighting various diseases like:
- Respiratory diseases
- Neurological diseases
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Sexually transmitted diseases
- Acute gastrointestinal diseases
- Degenerative changes to your spine
- Thyroid gland disorders
- Cellulite (specifically in early stage and in prevention)
- Menstrual cycle disorder
- Endocrine infertility
- Psychoemotional disorders
- Chronic fatigue
When you take action on your Feng Fu point it is not going to directly treat a condition, it is going to bring physiological balance and rejuvenate your body. All this helps in giving a powerful impulse to life.
Note: You shouldn’t use this technique if you have pacemaker, suffering from schizophrenia or epilepsy, or you are pregnant.
In the Chinese medicine, our body is seen as an energy system. Massage and acupuncture are used for affecting energy flow and improving functional activities of our organs.
